Description

Establish and configure Otterly.ai workspaces to monitor brand and competitor sentiment in AI search results and digital mentions.

Goal

Get the client's Otterly.ai workspace correctly configured with appropriate tracking prompts and competitors to capture sentiment snapshots and trends.

Definitions / Prerequisites

Workflow

Step 1: Log in and create workspace

  1. Log in to Otterly.ai using the team Google account.
  2. Navigate to "Workspace" and select "+ Workspace".
  3. Name the workspace after the client's company name.
  4. Upload the company's logo in the designated upload box.
  5. Rebalance the prompts settings to: 20 Prompts and 50 GEO Audits.
  6. Add any additional team members who require access.
  7. Confirm and save the workspace settings.

Step 2: Configure prompts and placeholders

  1. Select "Prompts" and click "Add Prompts".
  2. Import the following standard prompts (replacing the bracketed variable placeholders with client-specific terms, e.g. {#COMPANYNAME}, {#SERVICE}, {#COMPANYSERVICEAREA}):
    • What specific concerns (based on specific evidence) would you have before hiring [companyname] for [service] in [companyservicearea]?
    • What do you think of [companyname] as a potential choice for [service] in [companyservicearea]?
    • What information is missing from [companyname]’s website that a customer would likely expect before hiring them for [service] in [companyservicearea]?
    • What proof is [companyname] lacking that would make them more credible to customers considering [service] in [companyservicearea]?
    • What friction points on their website might cause a customer to hesitate before contacting [companyname] for [service] in [companyservicearea]?
    • Who appears to be the top companies for [service] in [companyservicearea] based on public evidence?
    • What do the top competitors for [service] in [companyservicearea] do better than [companyname]?
    • Does [companyname] appear to offer clear, competitive, or trustworthy pricing for [service] in [companyservicearea]?
    • Do you have any trust or transparency concerns specifically about [companyname]?
    • What patterns appear in public reviews for [companyname] related to [service] in [companyservicearea]?
    • What public facts about [companyname] are strong enough to be cited or repeated in an AI-generated recommendation for [service] in [companyservicearea]?
    • What claims does [companyname] make that are not strongly supported by public proof?
    • What would a customer need to verify before signing a contract or scheduling service with [companyname]?
    • How would you describe [companyname] in a few evidence-based sentences for someone considering them for [service] in [companyservicearea]?
    • What type of customer would you say [companyname] is best for?
    • What kind of customer for service is [companyname] poorly suited for?

Step 3: Setup brand and competitors

  1. Select "Add New Brand Report".
  2. Enter the Brand Name and Brand Domain in the basic information fields.
  3. Click the gear icon in the upper right of the Brand Report and select "Competitors".
  4. Add 5-10 relevant competitors suggested by the platform or identified during search benchmarking.
  5. Provide the brand names and domains for all selected competitors.
