Description

Pre-launch audit and validation checklist to confirm Google Ads and GLSA accounts are correctly configured, tracked, and ready for activation.

Goal

Perform a final launch-readiness audit of new Google Ads and GLSA accounts to eliminate configuration errors, tracking issues, and billing blocks before ad spend starts.

Workflow

Step 1: Access and Administrative Verification

  1. Open the oapagepilot manager account.
  2. Confirm the client sub-account is visible and active.
  3. Navigate to Tools & Settings > Access and Security and verify that only authorized agency profiles have Admin/Manager permissions.
  4. Navigate to Billing > Summary and confirm that:
    • Payment method is on file and marked active.
    • Account status shows "Active" (no billing holds or suspensions).

Step 2: Google Business Profile (GBP) Connection Audit

  1. In Google Ads, navigate to Ads & assets > Assets > Locations.
  2. Confirm the client's Google Business Profile is connected.
  3. Open the Advanced settings in the location link and check the assigned labels.
  4. Verify the geographical targeting in campaign settings matches the service areas defined in the intake sheet.

Step 3: Conversion and Tracking Verification

  1. Navigate to Tools & Settings > Conversions.
  2. Confirm that:
    • Google Tag Manager (GTM) connection is active.
    • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) conversions are linked.
    • Primary lead conversion actions (Forms, Phone Calls) are set to Primary action status.
  3. Test a form submission on the campaign landing page to verify that GTM triggers the conversion pixel.

Step 4: Call Tracking Verification

  1. Verify call extensions: Navigate to Ads & assets > Assets > Call and confirm call assets are active.
  2. Check the phone number: Dial the displayed tracking number to verify that it rings the client's office line and captures recording data in the call logs.
  3. Review call reporting settings (ensure call reporting is toggled to ON in account settings).

Step 5: Landing Page Content & Layout Check

  1. Open the campaign landing page URL.
  2. Confirm that:
    • Page is built from the standard PPC template.
    • Phone number is prominent and matches the tracking number.
    • Client service scope is represented.
    • Dynamic page elements (contact forms, scheduling widgets) load and function correctly.

Step 6: GLSA Setup Validation

  1. Log in to the client's GLSA dashboard.
  2. Verify that:
    • Business license is approved.
    • General liability insurance document is approved.
    • Background check status is marked complete for all listed employees.
    • Bidding and monthly budgets are set to agreed client limits.
