Call-To-Action (CTA) Placement
The buttons, phone links, or scheduler links used to drive direct user conversions.
- Input: CTA button layout positions and CSS mobile sticky nav wrappers.
- Standards:
- Above the Fold Placement: Position primary Call-To-Actions (e.g. phone number, booking button) above the fold.
- Sticky Mobile CTAs: Ensure the primary CTA remains sticky on mobile screens for easy access. To avoid blocking the content layout, mobile sticky elements must not exceed a maximum height of 10% of the viewport height.
Lead Forms
The fields, validation scripts, and submit buttons used to capture user details.
- Input: Contact forms, input fields, submit buttons, and inline validation scripts.
- Standards:
- Friction Minimization: Limit above-the-fold lead capture forms to a maximum of 3–4 fields (e.g. Name, Phone, Email, Zip/Service). Move any secondary fields to subsequent steps.
- Interactive States: Use inline validation scripts and define distinct CSS visual states for focus, error, and success.
Trust Verification Badges
The trust signals, review counts, and accreditation badges displayed on the site.
- Input: Certification images, star-rating widgets (Google, Yelp, BBB), and association badges.
- Standards:
- Visual Proximity: Position authenticated trust indicators and star ratings directly beneath or adjacent to primary conversion buttons and lead forms rather than generic unverified locks.
- E-E-A-T Crossover: These badges serve a dual purpose. In CRO, they reduce immediate conversion anxiety. In E-E-A-T, they provide crawlers with proof of local entity accreditation, licensing, and public reputation (Ref: EEAT#Trust & Credibility Signals (Crossover with CRO)).
