Description
Step-by-step procedure to request and verify manager link access for existing Google Ads and Google Local Services Ads (LSA) accounts.
Goal
Establish manager-level access under the Online Access agency account to allow configuration, audits, and campaign launches.
Definitions / Prerequisites
- oapagepilot: The central Online Access agency Google Ads Manager Account (MCC).
- MCC ID: 931-545-9823 (Agency ID used for access requests).
- CID: Customer ID (a 10-digit number unique to each Google Ads account).
Workflow
Step 1: Submit Link Request in Google Ads MCC
- Log in to Google Ads under the agency oapagepilot manager account.
- On the left navigation menu, click Accounts and select Sub-accounts (or Performance tab).
- Click the blue + button and select Link existing account.
- Input the client's 10-digit Google Ads Customer ID (CID).
- Click Send Invitation.
Step 2: Request LSA Account Linking
- Log in to the Google Local Services Ads dashboard using the agency profile.
- Navigate to Business Verification or Account Access.
- Submit a manager link request using the client's LSA account CID.
Step 3: Send Client Accept Instructions
- Send an email or Zoho message to the client advising them of the access request.
- Instructions:
- Check the primary business email inbox for an invitation email from Google Ads.
- Click the acceptance link inside the email.
- Alternatively, sign in to Google Ads directly, navigate to Tools and Settings > Access and Security, select the Managers tab, and click Accept on the pending request from "Online Access, Inc.".
Step 4: Verify Connection & Hand Off
- Refresh the agency MCC dashboard to confirm the status is updated to Active.
- Verify that billing and payment profiles are active on the sub-account (do not run ads on accounts with billing errors).
- Assign the setup task to the PPC Engineer (Mike) to initiate tracking and campaign design.
QA / Troubleshooting
- Email Invitation Missing: If the client does not receive the email, guide them through the manual Access and Security dashboard check (detailed in Step 3), as Google emails frequently route to junk folders.
