E-E-A-T Quality Standards

Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness (E-E-A-T) define Google's search evaluator guidelines for verifying that a site delivers genuine value, safety, and legitimacy to the end user.
Body Copy
The written text, explanations, and body paragraphs that provide information and demonstrate expertise to the reader.
- Input: The main body content field (WYSIWYG or Markdown editor) in the CMS.
- Standards:
- Expert-Led Value: The text must provide technically accurate, field-tested information (such as trade diagnostics, local building codes, and contractor specs) to deliver real value to the reader.
- Boilerplate Reduction: Replace generic, high-level filler with specialist insights that prove actual, first-hand experience in the trade.
Trust & Credibility Signals (Crossover with CRO)
Visual indicators used to prove the legal legitimacy, safety, and reputation of the service provider.
- Input: Star review widgets, Better Business Bureau (BBB) seals, state license numbers, and industry certifications (e.g., NATE).
- Standards:
- Verification of Legitimacy: Displays such as "Licensed, Bonded, & Insured #12345" serve as an E-E-A-T trustworthiness signal by verifying legal operation.
- CRO Crossover: While these badges are critical for E-E-A-T search compliance, they serve as primary CRO elements to reduce transaction anxiety and drive bookings when placed adjacent to lead capture areas (Ref: CRO#Trust Verification Badges).
Author & Brand Citations
The identity markers and metadata used to verify the credentials of the publisher and the physical business entity.
- Input: Author bio blocks, physical address text, embedded maps, and contractor registrations.
- Standards:
- Transparency: The site must clearly state who wrote the content (author bios showcasing years of trade experience) and who is delivering the service (verifying a real physical local address and local map registration) to build absolute brand authority.
